Vascular Specialty Center Physician Publishes Stroke Article in Inaugural Edition of Baton Rouge Healthcare Journal
Baton Rouge, LA – Vascular Specialty Center physician Dr. Albert D. Sam II published an article on stroke and stroke prevention in the first edition of South Louisiana’s first publication dedicated exclusively to health care in the region, Healthcare Journal of Baton Rouge (www.healthcarejournalbr.com). As a principle investigator for the largest stroke prevention clinical trial (CREST), Dr. Sam has been a leading clinician in the prevention of stroke in the region performing more NIH - trial minimally invasive carotid procedures than any physician in the gulf coast region.
“Stoke affects every family and can largely be prevented by early evaluation by a vascular physician. Hopefully our partnership with the Healthcare Journal of Baton Rouge will result in earlier detection and treatment of those at risk” says Dr. Albert Sam of Vascular Specialty Center.
